Note:
Richard Michner, M.D. received his BA degree from the University of California at Berkeley, CA, where he was an All-University squash champion. He received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. He had a Clinical Externship and an Internship at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry at Morristown Memorial Hospital, in Morristown, NJ. He finished his Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, NY, an affiliate of Columbia University, where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Michner is fluent in both English and Spanish. The American Medical Association acknowledged him for his work in continuing medical education with a physician recognition award with commendation and holds national certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. He is active in the medical community as a member of the Fetal Infant Mortality Review and Healthy Mom Healthy Babies Organization. He was Past President of Cape May County Medical Society and Past President of the Cape Regional Medical Center, where he currently serves on the Hospital Board.
In his passion for teaching, Dr. Michner served as Director of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA, affiliated with Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Atlantic Cape Community College and has been a Preceptor for the Physician Assistant Program for Arcadia University.
He has hospital privileges at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, NJ and at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of the North American Menopause Society
