Note:

Dr. Mirone is a fellowship trained, board-certified urogynecologist. As one of only seven urogynecologists in the nation board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Mirone specializes in minimally invasive surgery to address conditions such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, fecal incontinence, interstitial cystitis and pelvic organ prolapse.

“Pelvic floor disorders are very common despite the fact that they aren’t discussed frequently,” says Dr. Mirone. “It’s important for women to know that they no longer have to live with these problems; it’s not a normal part of aging.”
Dr. Mirone started his medical career in obstetrics and gynecology and was drawn by the miracle of birth. After assisting many mothers in childbirth, he witnessed the effects this had on the female anatomy, often resulting in damage to the pelvic floor. This experience inspired him to focus on the field of urogynecology where he could relieve pain, improve quality of life and give women back their dignity and self-confidence.

Dr. Mirone treats each patient with respect and compassion. He understands that patients are someone’s mother, wife, sister or daughter.

“I provide every patient with my full attention, time and consideration,” says Dr. Mirone. “I take the time to educate and empower my patients so that they understand all options for treatment.”
